A Church in Yorkshire is infested with bats… and can’t take much more. And of course, it being Britain, the bats can’t be driven out- so the people are leaving. Bats, after all, being far more important than people and their roosting far more important than the ministry of the Church… leads up to trauma cleaning the church.
St Hilda’s church in North Yorkshire has become the roosting place for bats, which has turned many worshippers away from the building. Bat droppings and wider health and safety concerns have meant that the church had not been able to hold a wedding ceremony for over 12 years.
Clean up maintenance was the only way to keep the church clean and smelling nice for the church goers. Part of our services is crime scene clean up where we got some very different jobs to do here. It looks like the cleaning will need to be done periodically to keep the bat mess at bat and allow for weddings to go ahead again in this beautiful church in North Yorkshire.
